I sighed as I heard footsteps behind me and stopped walking waiting for them to approach. "Demi..." Joe said as he stood in front of me. I got a weird sense of déjà vu. "What?" I said sharply. He looked hurt and I simmered down a little bit. "Dont go." He said in the most soothing voice ever and rubbed the sides of my arms softly. I shuddered. "I have homework." I whispered. What a lie. All I seem to be doing now is lying, to everybody. "No, you dont." Joe said matter of fact-ly. I shifted from one foot to another and pushed his hands away that were still on my arms. "I'll be back." I said as I walked away from him. I didnt dare glance back. I changed into skinny jeans with a white wife beater tank top and a long purple sleeveless cardigan. I slipped my feet into rubber gold flip flops and left my hair down and straight. "Mom, Im going out." I said as I walked towards the door while putting my cell phone in my back pocket. "Where? Its a school night." My mom said. "I wont come late and if Im not home I slept over, which I probably wont." "Where are you going?" I could tell my mother was getting angry. "A friend's house."
