We even had to put all of our (mainly Tiffany's) chocolate in a little cooler, with lots of ice in the very back of the truck to make sure it would not melt. So the trip began. It was fairly uneventful except for the sadness that my ipod stopped wanting to play through the radio about half way through the first stretch. However, we recovered by listening to some oldies on the radio. Then we reached our first stop, about 2 hours after we left, Myrtle Beach - Broadway on the Beach. However, this ironically is not located on a beach but is located around some water and contains numerous tourist traps. But of course, we are tourists and we fell for all the traps. We got some crushed pennies and enjoyed some more chocolate we found. We even bought some more candy from a store very appropriately named "Sugar". I was very excited to find a store that was crab themed but sad to find that not only did it sell crab souvenirs but it also sold crab recipes and sauces. I avoided the cooking section but did buy some pasta in the shape of crabs and a key chain. I think I will hang the key chain in Crabby Cakes cage right next to his bikini star fish.
