Chapter Six _____________________________________________________________ Gabriella's POV High pitched screams filled my ears as a group of little girls ran past, followed by a group of boys, who were, obviously chasing them. The warm breeze lifted the tense feeling in my stomache as my eyes met the grey skinny jeans and light blue v-neck shirt, sculpting a perfect body. As Justin walked up, I felt the butterflies in my stomache he always gave me. I looked at the ground, knowing he most likely waiting for my apology. "Hey", Justin said sitting next to me on the park bench. "Hello" I said. I didn't look at him. Not after what I did to him. "I'm sorry for being a totall bitch and leaving like that, but trust me I had a reason" He nodded. I kept my eyes on the pavement beneath my sparkly sandals. "It's okay, Gabi" he said soothingly. "I just want to know, why was it so hard for you to talk to me?" I swallowed. of course he would want to know this. "Do you remember that night on the beach?" I asked, finally turning to face him. "Like it was yesterday" he answered. "I mean before the helicopter came and saved our asses. Do you?" I repeated. "It's my favorite memory of you. How can I not remember it?" I felt my face get red and I looked at the ground again. "Well, after we kissed, the helicopter came. You acted as if I didn't even exist anymore. Until the day I left to go back home. It hurt too much to see you again, because I knew what happend on the island wasn't real ...
