I sank my head as Nick got closer. I didn't know what to do.. As Nick took his seat beside Miley I looked up and tried to smile. He smiled back, a strong smile. It seemed like he wasn't very hurt by the recent problems between us. But it had to happen, I liked Nick but I really wanted Joe. Nick looked over the table at us and I got butterflies. I grabbed Joe's hand under the table and squeezed it softly and we both looked at each other at the same time. He smiled at me and it made me smile. I was calm again.
